There isn't anything too special about this post. Just wanted to share my beauties that are atop my bookshelves. 

Books, books and more books!

People tell me all the time I have enough books and I do not need to buy anymore. I say that is nonsense! They obviously do not have enough books in their life! The last time I had posted about books, was about October, I think? But, between then and now, I have gotten so many new books!!!!!! OMG! YESSS!!! I have bought books and books have been gifted to me! I have taken multiple pictures. And I will explain as to where I got all of my books as well!

These books (above) are from various places! I got them from Walmart, Target, Book Mammas, and Ollies Bargain Outlet.

(Above) I got these from Target! I have heard so many great things about this series and decided to give them a try! 

I actually got all of these books and the bookends for Christmas! 

I bought all of these books from a book sale. I went to an invite only book sale at a book publishing company. My best friend's mom works there and knew that I love books. And they were selling paperbacks for $0.50 and Hardbacks for $1

(Above) These came from the book sale mentioned above as well. Book sets were only $1. And they even had book sets that retail $80-$100, and they were selling them for only $1!!!!

I ordered these from Amazon because I needed them for my Themes in Literature class. 

Bookshelf addition

I have recently added A LOT of books to my lil' library in my room. And I decided it was time for me to buy a new bookshelf. I only had $20 on me, and needed to get the best deal. And find the right size to fit into my room. So Walmart is the place to go. I found a 3-tier white shelf for $18. I actually turned it into a 4-tier because I used the top of it for books as well. I just used my fancy bookends to keep the books up on the top of the bookshelf. I rate this bookshelf a 4 out of 5. The only downfall is, it took me over an hour to assemble the shelf. The instructions were not the greatest and had some difficulties putting it together. And the back of the shelf is not that sturdy. The back is just a lil thicker than cardboard. Overall, I do like this shelf and will probably buy another in the future. I know my best friend, who is also a bookworm, is buying the taller version of mine from walmart. Its a 5-tier shelf for like $28.

 Also here is my little corner of heaven. There are four bookshelves. I have one more right across from them, but it currently doesn't house books because I don't have enough to fill all five! Ignore the stuff on the ground. There are like 3 stacks of books buried there. But they are books that were given to me and I just don't know how I feel about them. And I don't know what shelf I want to put them on. I also have some craft stuff on the floor because my 3 craft cabinets are full. YIKES!

New Record Player!!!

Hey everyone! Its been awhile since I have posted! And I figured I would just let everyone know that for Christmas, I got a record player!!! It is amazing! And since Christmas I have acquired new albums. My dad gave me all of my grandpa's albums. WHOOP! Found some Beatles and ACDC in there. I also bought a STYX album from a local record store. And for new music I have bought:

• Ed Sheeran
• Straight Outta Compton 
• Adele 25 
• Pitch Perfect 2 
• Green Day: American Idiot 
• Imagine Dragons 

I listen to my records at least every other night! If you do not own one, I highly recommend it!!!

 

6 Word Memoirs

I have come to share another assignment from my Creative Writing class!!!! Last week, we did a 6 word memoir assignment. Our teach wanted us to come up with a few of them. Here are mine! :

1. Discovering myself with success and failure.
2. Failure and success make us human.
3. Humans: naturally evil and naturally good.
4. Paths and friends are constantly changing.
5. Stay or leave, its your choice.

I Believe

This week in my Creative Writing class, our teach had us simply write ten "I believe..." statements. They stated what we believed in. Here are my ten I wrote :

1. I believe everyone is good and evil.
2. I believe that when there is hate, there is love.
3. I believe pugs are superior than most dogs.
4. I believe art and music gives freedom of expression.
5. I believe we are born alone and we die alone.
6. I believe happiness comes from enjoyment.
7. I believe everyone is unique and identical at the same time.
8. I believe you are what you eat.
9. I believe teaching is not intended for money but for spreading knowledge.
10. I believe an old body can have a young soul.
