What is Poetry?

Poetry is different for everyone

Emotions should burst off the paper

Its pretty simple

Think about it all

But don’t over complicate it

Put words next to words

But make sure it makes sense

It doesn't have to be logical

Poetry can be simple

It's like cooking

It could have two or three ingredients

Or it could have ten

But not all cooking is for everyone

Your life story can be a poem

Or write one about your cat Fluffy

It can be short and sweet

Or long and a head ache

Thats whats great about poetry

It's yours and only yours

Destruction of Life

Our life begins and will end
It brings sadness and grief
Darkness instead of light
The world is bright
But then the next moment
The lights are turned off
No living human understands this
But we can come close
Trees losing their leaves
Becoming sickly looking
Your dog being hit by a car
Crushing an insect
Getting into a car crash
And killing the driver
We can cause it too
Gassing the Jews
Bombing Pearl Harbor
It's all around us
Darkness takes over light
And life cannot be brought back
