Not So Average Teenager (Original Short Story)

Today is like any other day. I go to school and then I go home, but what I didn’t know was that I was going to go home to my family gone. This is where my story began.

I abruptly woke up from a dream I was having because my mom was calling my name. She was telling me to get up to get ready for school. I layed in bed for about twenty more minutes before I decided to get up. I went downstairs to the bathroom like I do every morning. And by the way I live in the attic. The attic was transformed into a bedroom, my bedroom. I never eat breakfast in the morning, so I brush my teeth first. I brush my hair out and go back to my room to get my uniform on for school.
By time I am ready to leave my mom and brother are already outside in the car waiting on me. I say goodbye to my dad and I lock the door and go to the car. My school isn’t far from the house. It takes about eight minutes to get there from my house. As we pull up to school, I turn off my phone and put it into my backpack. I say “Goodbye, love ya.” to my mom. She says it back.
Every teenager dreads highschool. I know I do. Our school is divided into three kinds of people. The weird and smelly nerds, the ghetto people, and finally the people who don’t belong to either of those groups. Sometimes the people in group three are kinda both group one and two. My so-called friends and I belong in group three. The reason why I call them my so-called friends is because one moment they are nice to me but the next they could be talking crap about me or put me down about the things I do. The thing is, I don’t tell anybody. I just let it build up inside. One day I am going to explode.
I had made it through the day. Before school had ended, the lady at the front office told me that my parents couldn’t pick me up and that I had to walk home. Nothing seemed unusual, I  just shrugged my shoulders and started walking home.
I was so exhausted by the time I got home. I had noticed that my dad was home early from work and that my mom was home as well. I looked over and my uncle was home too. Before I opened the gate, I noticed a suspicious car was parked one house down. I made eye contact with the man in the car. Suddenly he pulled out of his parking spot and sped down the street. What a creep, I thought.
I tried to open the door and it was locked. That was strange especially since everyone was home. I knocked a few times and nobody opened the door. I pulled out my key from my backpack and unlocked the door. I twisted open the door and it was dark in the house. All of the lights were turned off. A foul smell came from within. I walked in and put my backpack down by the door. I walked into the living room and there it was, the crime scene.
My family had been slaughtered. Their lifeless bodies laying there and their blood splattered throughout the room. The television had been punched. I froze right there. I didn’t know what to do. I went for the kitchen to get the home phone because my cell phone was still in my backpack. I stopped abruptly because right in front of me were my dogs, my dead dogs. They too had been slaughtered. I hadn’t even had one of my dogs for a year. And now they are gone. All of them were gone. I started to cry and i kneeled down by the lifeless body of my dog Jellybean. I picked her up and I cried. My hands were now covered in blood. I tried to wipe them off but I just got blood onto my shirt. I Got up off the floor and ran outside. I frantically looked around and decided to run for my neighbors house. I pounded on the door and Mrs. Stevenson came running to the door. She looked at me and frantically asked, “Sweetheart, what is wrong?”
She hadn’t noticed the blood on my shirt yet. I started to cry and I screamed at her that my family had been murdered. She ran for the phone and called 911. I just sat on the floor. It seemed as if days had passed, but it had only been minutes before the police had arrived. They went to my house first to see what had happened. Then they went to my neighbors house where I was. They took me to the police station to get away from the tragic event that had happened. I wasn’t crying anymore at this time. They asked me a series of questions. When did I come home? Do you have any witnesses? Did you notice anybody suspicious around? DId anything happen yesterday that was unusual? I told them I had just gotten home from school and that as soon as I had seen what has happened I ran for my neighbors. I also told them I hadn’t noticed anybody around the house. Even though I knew that was a lie. They thanked me and they called my Mammaw to come and get me.
Weeks had passed since my family had been murdered. The family I did have left mourned for our lost love ones. The funerals were closed casket. I didn’t cry at all the past few weeks. Mammaw had questioned me about it and I had just told her that I ran out of tears. It was expected of me to not go to school for at least a week. When I did go back, everyone was nice to me, but I just acted like nothing had happened.
After the case died down and they couldn’t find a suspect, I had my Mammaw drive me to the coffee shop near her house. I was going there to meet someone alone.
I walked into the coffee shop and made eye contact with the guy that was outside my house the day my family was killed. Ï walked up to him, “I told you to not kill my pets. Especially my pug! How could you!”
“Keep your voice down girl! And besides they are just dogs. They were making a lot of noise and would have gotten me caught!” explained the man.
“You owe me a new one!”I yelled.
“You can have any dog you want. I told you I would take care of your problem and I did. Now please sit down and have some coffee.” he urged.
I quickly sat down. I just glared at him. My family was a problem and they had to be eliminated. The police still couldn’t figure out who killed me parents. The only people who know who did it was this man in front of me, my neighbors, and I. Yes Mrs. Stevenson knew what had gone wrong. She was in on the plan from the beginning. We just had to play the role that way we were suspects in the crime. They will never figure out who had done it. There were no witnesses or evidence. If people knew what had happened they would think I am crazy. I am not crazy. I had a reason to all of this.
My family made me think they would be better off in life without me. They were always hurtful and they didn’t care about me. Maybe I would just be better off without them. I am better off without them. My problems are all gone and now I am free. My mammaw doesn’t really bother me so she doesn’t have to go. She lets me have all the freedom I want. Her I will keep around. Once I am eighteen, I am going to leave this country. I have it all planned and set up. Mrs. Stevenson has a sister that lives in England and she has agreed to let me stay with her and work for her. There I will live the life I want and escape all the problems I have had. I will not return to this god awful place.
I may just be a teenage girl, but I am also a killer. I didn’t kill my family myself, but I had someone do it for me. Not everyone is innocent. Everyone is guilty of something.
Years have gone by and I have moved on. I have everything I have ever wanted. I am content with my life now.

Age Does Not Determine Knowledge Nor Wisdom

I have been told time and time again, that I have no clue what love is. That I am too young to understand it. In these almost seventeen years I have been alive on this earth, I have witnessed many events. I have seen for my own eyes lose, love, want, greed, hatred, and many of other characteristics of the people that live on this heavenly body that we live on. I still have over half of my life to live and experience the many odds and ends it has to offer. Age is but a number. A person who is 24 can be just as wise as another person who is 75. Our knowledge and wisdom is based on experience, not age.

New Books!

I went to Kroger today to buy a gallon of tea for my mom. Every time I go to a store, I always have to check out their books. Well lets just say I found two books I was wanting that are on my wish list! I hurried up and called my mom and asked her if I could buy them, and she said yes! I did quick little victory dance in the aisle because I had to beautiful books in my hands that were about to be officially mine in less than 5 minutes! Fest your eyes on these beauties!

Item Review: Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens

Rate (out of 10): 9
These pens are by far the best ones I have ever purchased! They are made in Germany. Most pens I have that are made in other countries, I like way better than my other average pens. I bought the 10 pack at Target for about $12 and I bought the 6 pack at Walmart for about $5. They do sell a 20 pack I believe at Target for $25, but I was not prepared to pay that much money for a pack of pens. One of the reasons I love these pens is because they do not bleed through my papers at school! They also write very smoothly. And the lines are very fine since they are 0.3 mm. They are in a hard plastic case. Which when you flip the top over and lock it in place, it becomes a stand as well. Now I have only had these pens for about a month, but most people I got the suggestion from to buy these said that their's lasted around 3-5 years for them. And I only bought the 6 pack because I know I will use the black pen the most, and I really wanted a gray and purple pen. They are my favorite colors our of them all! These pens are a very recommended buy!

DIY Stress Away Foot Soak

Ingredients:
1 cup of sea salt
1 cup of Epsom salt
2 cups of baking soda
10-15 drops of essential oils ( I used peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender, you could also use lime or tea tree)
Directions:
1. Gather Ingredients
2. Mix all dry ingredients together.
3. Add in your essential oils and mix together.
4. Store into a glass container.
**Tip** When using essential oils it is best to store your products in a glass container, you can use plastic but after awhile it could eat at the plastic. I have used thick plastic containers before and they have worked perfectly fine as of right now.

News Alert! Woman Stabbed In The Eye With A Fork!

This past weekend was Memorial Weekend and the Indy500. Most people decided to have cook outs and other parties to celebrate both of these. One family in Indiana did this exact thing. A woman that was invited over, ate all of their food, including "the last rib." Now many normal people wouldn't be overly dramatic about this. But when the homeowner confronted the woman, she was angry and stabbed the homeowner in the eye, with a fork! For crying out loud lady! You did not need to bring violence into this mess! Over ribs! The homeowner did suffer some eye damage but is okay. Maybe next time before any of us go for "the last rib", we should make sure its worth it and a negative outcome won't happen!
